How has LIFT’s Economic Empowerment Unit incentivised landholders to keep their SLLC up to date?

LIFT carried out a large-scale survey to estimate the percentage of land transactions that were formally registered in the rural land administration system. In this survey, 9,600 households were interviewed across four regions: Amhara, Oromia, Tigray and the Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples’ Region. This research summary outlines the findings of this survey and how LIFT’s Economic Empowerment Unit has incentivised landholders to keep their second level land certification up to date.
